In Transit follows Jay, an editor at an astronomy magazine who is filming the rare celestial event the Venus Transit. As the event is about to take place, Jay receives a call from his estranged father, Madhu, telling him that his grandmother is on her deathbed in India. This leads to a meaningful encounter between father and son at an airport restaurant.
